In ONDIER two performers enter into a waiting room. A liminal space that exists outside of temporal logic. An endless stream of sad loners passes through the room one by one. Each character being more broken than the previous. The waiting room is a pit stop where sad loners come to seek company, even just for a short moment. The work intertwines movement, text and sound; the result is a surreal spectacle oscillating between glamour and grudge.

Sofia and Sytze started working together in the autumn of 2023. The aim was to develop a common performative method that utilized both movement and text in a non-hierarchical order. Sofia and Sytze developed a score based improvisation practice that laid the foundation for their work. The scores were eventually refined and structured into a composition. The material developed during the research ultimately laid the foundation for what would become ONDIER/THE BUG.
